History

The Antica Dimora Giardini Segreti is located in the province of Lecce, in the center of Giuggianello, the smallest ancient town in Salento.

Once belonging to Palazzo Pirtoli, the complex was in a state of complete abandonment until, having decided to return to Salento, after many years spent working around Italy and abroad, I fell in love with it and decided to restore its ancient charm, thanks to a meticulous conservative restoration carried out in the name of respect of the tradition and the unmistakable taste of Salento living.

The entrance gate hides a real ancient village, built between the end of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th and the estate was a place of production, but also a residence for those who worked there.

The interior spaces open up around a large irregular courtyard in which, alongside the ancient architecture, furnishing accessories from various periods and origins harmonize with each other, creating a unique and very pleasant atmosphere.

The rooms are all characterized by star vaults, left uncontaminated, in order to leave the passage of time visible in all its authenticity.

The garden, with its ancient essences and the fragrant citrus grove, occupies the central area of the house and helps to enhance its rural vocation; the "salt" pool completes the charming residence.
